Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA Work Instructions: LCM Power Board Replacement – Model C60 MicroTurbine Required Tools 􏰪 10 mm Socket 􏰪 #2 Phillips Screwdriver 􏰪 #3 Phillips Screwdriver Procedures 1. Ensure the MicroTurbine system is in the standby state. 2. Remove all power sources and fuel supply from the MicroTurbine system. 3. Remove the MicroTurbine right side panel. 4. Remove LCM package cover. 5. Disconnect all cables from LCM Control Board. 6. Remove LCM Control Board on mounting plate using #3 screwdriver. 7. Disconnect LCM Power Board cables a. J1 Voltage Sense and J2 Phase Voltage. b. E1 Bus+ and E2 Bus- connections using 10mm socket. 8. Disconnect LCM power board from the three-phase IGBT module. a. Remove three #3 Phillips screws. b. Remove three 10mm 6pt nuts. 9. Disconnect the LCM Power Board from the Neutral IGBT module a. Remove two #3 Phillips screws. b. Remove two 10mm 6pt nuts. 10. Disconnect LCM Power Board assembly from package by removing two #2 Phillips screws at base of capacitor mounting plate at the rear of the package. a. Remove LCM power board assembly (power board, capacitors and mounting plate) 11. Install new LCM Power Board. 12. Reinstall the mounting nuts and screws to the DC Bus cables. Use the 45 in-lbs torque drive to tighten the nuts. DO NOT over tighten. 13. Reinstall the mounting screws to the Power Board housing. 14. Connect the Power Board to the IGBT Module using the 45 in-lbs torque drive to tighten the connections. DO NOT over tighten. 15. Reconnect all cables to the Power Board. Make sure the ribbon cables to the IGBT module are locked tightly into place. 16.
