Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA Work Instructions: Gaseous Fuel Manifold Replacement – Model C60 MicroTurbine Required Tools 􏰪 10 mm Socket for package removal 􏰪 7/16” Socket 􏰪 11/16” open end wrench (x2) 􏰪 7/8” open end wrench (x2) 􏰪 Nickel-based Anti-seize Compound 􏰪 Gas Leak Detector 􏰪 Crush Gaskets Procedures 1. Ensure the MicroTurbine system is in the standby state. 2. Remove all power sources and fuel supply from the MicroTurbine system. 3. Remove the MicroTurbine side panels. 4. Disconnect the fuel manifold harness connecting SPV to manifold. 5. Disconnect the pressure transducer cable (if equipped). 6. Open the inlet fitting to the manifold using the 7/8” wrench. Use a second 7/8” wrench to support the manifold insert. This line may be pressurized. Therefore, release the pressure slowly to prevent damage to the fitting. 7. Remove six fuel lines using the 11/16” open-end wrench. Use a second 11/16” wrench to support each manifold insert. 8. Remove the four retaining bolts holding manifold to engine assembly and the grounding wire using the “7/16 socket and drive or nut driver. 9. Remove manifold 10. Install the new manifold by inserting the four retaining bolts. 11. Add a nickel-based anti-seize compound to the threads on the injector nipples. This is important. 12. Reinstall the fuel lines making sure to install new crush gaskets. Install the fuel lines in order from 1 to 6 (inside to outside) to have room to tighten fittings with the wrench before the next fuel line is installed. 13. Reinstall the inlet fuel line. 14. Plug in the manifold harness. 15. Plug in the pressure transducer cable (if equipped). 16. Turn on the power and fuel supply. 17. Initiate an engine start. 18. Check the fuel line and manifold connections for leaks using leak detector, e.g. Snoop, soapy water, or a gas sniffer. 19.
