Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA Work Instructions: Electrical Fuel Shutoff Valve Replacement – Model C60 MicroTurbine Required Tools 􏰪 10 mm Socket for package removal 􏰪 7/16” Socket, Extension and Drive 􏰪 7/8” open end wrench 􏰪 1 1/8” open end wrench 􏰪 1 1⁄4” open end wrench 􏰪 Gas Leak Detector Procedures 1. Ensure the MicroTurbine system is in the Standby state. 2. Remove all power sources and fuel supply from the MicroTurbine system. 3. Remove the MicroTurbine side panels. 4. Disconnect the shut off valve power cable connecting the SPV to the shutoff valve. 5. Open the inlet fitting using a 1 1/4” wrench. Support the insert using the 1 1/8” wrench. This line may be pressurized. Therefore, release the pressure slowly to prevent damage to the fitting. 6. Open the outlet fitting using a 7/8” wrench. Support the insert using the 1 1/8” wrench. This line may be pressurized. Therefore, release the pressure slowly to prevent damage to the fitting. 7. Remove two mounting bolts using the 7/16” socket, extension and drive. 8. Remove the ground wire using the 7/16” socket. 9. Replace the Shut-Off valve. 10. Reinstall inlet and outlet fuel lines. a. Inlet fuel connector using 1 1⁄4” wrench requires 980 in/lbs of torque. 11. Reinstall mounting bracket. 12. Reconnect the ground wire. 13. Plug in the power connect harness to the SPV. 14. Turn on power and fuel supply. 15. Initiate engine start. 16. Check Shut-Off fittings for leaks using leak detector, e.g. Snoop, soapy water, or a gas sniffer. 17.
