Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA Work Instructions: BCM Power Board Replacement – Model C60 MicroTurbine Required Tools 10 mm socket Torque Wrench #2 Phillips screwdriver #3 Phillips screwdriver Flathead screwdriver Procedures 1. Ensure the MicroTurbine system is in the standby state. 2. Remove all power sources and fuel supply from the MicroTurbine system. 3. Remove the MicroTurbine right side panel. 4. Remove BCM cover. 5. Disconnect all communication cables from Hybrid Control Board (HCB). J7 BCM Pre-Charge Contactor, J1 Main IGBT, J6 Intra BCM, J4 Battery PM, J5 Fan Inv, and J3 Voltage Sense. 6. Remove HCB with mounting plate using #2 Phillips screwdriver. 7. Disconnect battery pack from E3 Batt+ using a flathead screwdriver. 8. Remove BCM Power Board cables. a. J1 Voltage Sense and J2 Fan Inv. b. E1 Bus+ and E2 Bus- using 10mm socket. c. E7 Batt- using 10mm socket. 9. Disconnect BCM Power Board from IGBT module by removing three #3 Phillips screws and three 10mm bolts. 10. Remove two Phillips screws holding the capacitor mounting plate to the housing at the rear of the package using #2 Phillips screwdriver. 11. Remove BCM Power Board. 12. Install new BCM Power Board. 13. Reconnect BCM Power Board to IGBT module. Verify connections are tightened to 45 in-lbs. 14. Reconnect cable connections to BCM Power Board. 15. Reconnect E1 Bus+ and E2 Bus- to BCM Power Board. Tighten to 45 in-lbs. 16. Reinstall HCB and mounting plate. 17. Reconnect cables to HCB. 12. Turn on power and fuel supply. 13.
