Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA Work Instructions: Battery Pack Replacement – Model C60 MicroTurbine Required Tools 10 mm Socket #3 Phillips screwdriver Appropriate Rigging Equipment Procedures 1. Ensure the MicroTurbine system is in the standby state. 2. Remove all power sources and fuel supply from the MicroTurbine system. 3. Remove the MicroTurbine front door. 4. Disconnect Anderson connectors from battery pack. 5. Disconnect battery pack PM. 6. Disconnect fan thermistor cable from battery pack. 7. Disconnect ground nut. 8. Unbolt battery pack from package. There are two #3 Phillips screws on the mounting bracket at the rear of the battery pack, two 10 mm bolts at the base of the front of the battery pack and one 10mm bolt at the top of the battery pack. 9. Line up battery pallet with MicroTurbine level in front. 10. Position rigging equipment in front of MicroTurbine. 11. String rigging cable through small opening to front of MicroTurbine 12. Attach cable to battery with bolt. Two mounting holes are available on the front and two on the rear of the battery pack for this attachment. 13. Pull battery out of MicroTurbine from the front. a. Activate rigging. Caution: rivets rub on side wall 14. Install new battery pack. 15. Mount battery pack to MicroTurbine packaging. a. Two #3 Phillips screws in back of battery pack. b. Three 10mm 6pt bolts in front of MicroTurbine. Note: Top may be difficult to line up. 16. Connect ground power cable to battery pack using 10mm socket. 17. Connect red and black power cables (Anderson connector) to battery pack. 18. Reconnect PM cable. 19. Reconnect thermistor cable. 20. Reconnect Battery Pack PM. 21. Turn on power and fuel supply. 22.
