6016 Internal Warning INV PWR FOLDBK Inverter Power Foldback System Severity Level 2 The software protects the inverter power conversion components from overtemperature conditions. When the inverter heat sink temperature exceeds a predetermined value, the software reduces the power output of the system and declares this fault. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution Inverter Heatsink Current Limit Exceeded Ambient Conditions too Hot Heatsink dissipates enough heat to operate in the ambient temper- atures specified. Air cooling sys- tem provided may not be adequate for operating environ- ment. Operate as specified DPC Heatsink Fan Fail- ure Pull DPC cover and verify fan con- nector is plugged in correctly. Secure heatsink fan connector Fans are plugged in, but do not operate when system is com- manded to start. Replace DPC DPC Inverter Ther- mistor Reading is Intermittent Inverter thermistor connection may be intermittent due to a loose connection. Tighten inverter thermistor connec- tion DPC Inverter Ther- mistor Reading High Inverter thermistor returns a false high reading. Replace DPC Inverter Output Current Limit Exceeded Loose Power Connec- tions Inverter power connections may have come loose, causing unex- pectedly high current. Tighten User Out- put and DPC power connections Power Factor of User’s Load Power factor of the user’s load could cause the output current to exceed the system rating. Correct Power Fac- tor or reduce load Low Output Voltage User’s output voltage causes cur- rent to exceed system limits to deliver required power.
