6008 Internal Fault ENG UNDER SPEED Engine Underspeed System Severity Level 3 This fault indicates that a system malfunction has prohibited successful operation of the turbine under normal operating conditions, i.e., when the engine speed is less than 25,000 RPM. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution Engine Speed Sensor Reports Reading Less than Minimum Limit Loss of DC Bus Power In Grid Connect operation, if the DPC contactor opens, adequate power may not be available to oper- ate engine above minimum speed Inspect DPC Output Contactor Operation In Stand-alone operation, battery may be unable to provide adequate power for engine to operate above minimum speed. Investigate any Battery Controller Faults Speed Sensing Cir- cuitry Not Reading Correctly Problem occurs intermittently where engine is operating above idle speed (45krpm), but this fault is declared. Improper grounding can cause false speed readings Verify grounding as per installation instructions System is grounded properly, but intermittent speed readings still occur.
