4011 Internal Fault SW COMPATIBILITY Software Compatibility System Severity Level 7 Software compatibility testing is required to ensure that damage cannot be induced when operating with different configurations of hardware. Verification of the following criteria is necessary to successfully pass the software compatibility check: When the DPC core part number is greater than or equal to 509247-100, the Generator and Inverter DSP software versions must be greater than or equal to 3.00. Software Compatibility fault is declared when the above criteria is not met. Recommended Spare Parts • Engine Personality Module • DPC Control • Frame Personality Module • Engine Harness Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair solution All of the software components required in the code set were not installed. Software does not recognize the Inverter or Generator part numbers as valid programs. Check software compo- nents through Display or SWCNFG command to verify all components are correct. Download the required software (Inverter or Generator code). Software is installed to unsupported hard- ware components Configuration setting is wrong. Check system software configuration. Download control software configuration. Software does not recognize the part number of the DPC, Engine, Battery Control- ler, or Fuel Device as a valid component Check the system operation documentation for hardware compatibility issues. Re-program Personality Module for valid components. EEPROPM Device Failed Problem persists even when PM is re-pro- gramed Replace Personality Module. Note: The new PM must be programmed with appropriate P/N and S/N. Problem persists even when PM is replaced. Replace DPC Control Board (See Document 513176) Multiple faults are reported. Possible problem in the communi- cation driver Replace DPC Control Board (See Document 513176) NOTE Caution must be taken when reverting back to the old software as PM faults may occur.
