2009 Internal Fault GEN IGBT DPC Sensed Generator IGBT Failure System Severity Level 6 This fault is declared when the DPC Control Board senses a malfunction of the Generator Isolated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) module. Recommended Spare Parts • Battery Charger • DPC Power Board • IPM Power supply • BCT Power Board • BCT Contactor Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution Generator IGBT Fault Status indicates fault Low Power Supply Voltage Inadequate voltage to IPM power supply will cause no voltage provided to IGBTs. Ensure that there is voltage present by measuring the DC voltage between F500 and F501. The voltage should be greater than 500 VDC. Replace DPC Power Board Check the power supply voltage - Refer to the Troubleshooting a Micro- Turbine that Does Not Wake Up section. Refer to the Trouble- shooting a Micro- Turbine that Does Not Wake Up section. Failed IPM Power Supply IPM Power supply board lights are not illuminated when larger than 11.5 volts is being applied. Verify that the IPM boards have six LED’s illuminated. Replace the IPM Power Supply Ground Wiring Refer to the Installation documenta- tion for proper grounding configura- tion. Correct electrical wiring configuration Shorted Generator Cables Check to see if the generator cable is shorted to ground. Fix problem with the generator cables. Shorted Generator Remove the generator terminals in the Generator Junction Box. Measure resistance from each phase to Ground. It should be greater than 5k Ohms. Replace Engine.
