12006 Internal Fault BATT IPM Battery Intelligent Power Module (IPM) System Severity Level 5 Hardware circuit protection is provided in the Intelligent Power Module (IPM) to detect overcurrent, undervoltage, and overtemperature conditions. The software declares an IPM fault when any of these circuits is not operating correctly. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution The IPM device has detected an Over- current, Undervoltage, or Overtemperature condition. Transient caused by ECM/LCM faults. This could happen in some tran- sients caused by either ECM/ LCM faults or grid/load faults. Re-boot the system. Ribbon cable connection Verify the ribbon cable connection is tight from BCM Control Board to IGBT Module. Fix the cable problem Faulty BCM Power Board Circuitry on BCM Power Board has failed Attempt a BCM PM upload. Replace BCM Power Board. 12007 Internal Fault BATT PRECHARGE Battery Precharge Failed System Severity Level 5 The software declares a Pre-charge Failed fault if the ratio of DC bus voltage to Battery voltage does not exceed a predetermined value, within the period after the pre-charge contactor was commanded closed. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution The ratio of DC Bus Voltage to Battery Voltage does not exceed a predeter- mined value within the period after the Pre- charge Contactor was commanded closed. Error in the cable connections between the BCM and the ECM. Check connections of the DC bus lines. Check connections from J7 on the BCM Control Board to the Contactor. Fix connection error. Short circuit condition exists on the DC bus. Check if the DC bus capacitors and IGBT modules of the ECM/ LCM are in good condition. Replace: ECM Power Board. LCM Power Board. Pre-charge Resistor is burned Pre-charge Resistor Needs replacing. Replace Pre-charge Resistor. Charge the battery. Check IGBT Modules and Contactor for shorts. Replace parts as necessary Faulty BCM Power Board Circuitry on BCM Power Board has failed Attempt a BCM PM upload. Replace BCM Power Board.
