12016 Internal Fault BATT HTSNK OP Battery Heat Sink Thermistor Open Failure System Severity Level 5 The software declares a Battery Heat Sink Thermistor Open fault, when the measured temperature from the heat sink is less than the Battery Controller Transient Open parameter, for any sample period. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution The BCT DSP Has Detected the Open Circuit Condition of the BCT Heat Sink Thermistor. The assumed open temperature for the heat sink temperature sensor is set wrongly. Make sure that the BCT power board PM is programmed properly, and it is supported by the installed BCT control software. Re-program the BCT power board PM. Open/Loose Connection Check the cables and connectors related to J1 and J3 of the BCT power board. Tighten cable connections Faulty BCT Control Board BCT control board needs replacing. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution The BCT DSP Has Detected the Short Circuit Condition of the BCT Heat Sink Thermistor. The assumed short temperature for the heat sink temperature sensor is set wrongly. Make sure that the BCT power board PM is programmed properly, and it is supported by the installed BCT control software. Re-program the BCT power board PM. Debris or water in package. Clean the BCT controller. Check the cables and connectors related to J1 and J3 of the BCT power board. Clean the BCT Controller Faulty BCT Control Board BCT control board needs replacing.
