6017 Internal Fault GEN HTSNK TEMP Generator Heatsink Temperature System Severity Level 3 When reducing the system power output is not successful at reducing generator heat sink temperatures, then this fault is declared when the generator heat sink temperature exceeds a predetermined value. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution Generator Heat- sink reading greater than limit Noise on input signal Improper grounding of the system can cause erratic readings from sensors. Correct system grounding Ambient conditions too hot Controller has been installed in an environment that is too hot for specified operating range. Provide cooler ambient temperature conditions ECM fan failed Verify the ECM and LCM fans are rotating when the system is starting. Contact Capstone Technical Support Check cable connection between J1 on ECM Control Board to IGBT for loose connection. Tighten cable connection. Incorrect temperature limits in ECM Control Board PM. Attempt a PM upload. ECM Control Board faulty Heatsink temperature on CRMS indicates less than 110 °C (230 °F). Replace ECM Control Board. Consult Capstone Technical Support.
