12000 Internal Fault BATT DC OV Battery DC Bus Overvoltage System Severity Level 5 In the Battery Controller Transient (BCT), the DC bus capacitors limit the maximum achievable DC bus voltage. To protect these components from failure, the software declares this fault condition and shuts down the system when the DC bus voltage input exceeds the DC Bus Overvoltage for any one sample. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution Dc Bus Voltage Input Exceeds the Dc Bus Over- voltage Limit. DC Bus Overvolt- age Limit is set wrongly Check the command value and scale factor, when the RS-232 command of BCTBOV is used to set the Leg Overcurrent Limit. Use the right value to set the DC Bus Overvoltage Limit. The default value of the DC Bus Overvoltage Limit is wrongly set. Make sure that the BCT Power Board PM is programmed prop- erly, and it is supported by the installed BCT control software. Re-program the BCT Power Board PM Faulty BCT Control Board BCT control board needs replacing. Replace BCT Control Board (See Document 513175) Faulty BCT Power Board BCT Power Board needs replacing. Replace BCT Power Board (See Document 513158) 12001 Internal Fault BATT OVER VOLT Battery Overvoltage System Severity Level 5 Batteries are very sensitive to overvoltage since they lose electrolyte through gassing if subjected to prolonged overvoltage. The software declares a battery overvoltage fault when the measured value of the battery voltage exceeds the maximum voltage value stored in the Battery Personality Module, in any control cycle. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution Either the Filtered Battery Voltage Exceeds the Battery Overvoltage Limit, or the Hardware Has Detected A Battery Over-voltage Condi- tion. The parameters used to detect the Battery overvolt- age fault is set wrongly. Make sure that the BCT Power Board PM and battery pack PM are programmed properly, and they are sup- ported by the installed BCT control software. Re-program the BCT Power Board PM and battery pack PM. Disconnection of the battery pack from the DPC This fault provides a protection to the Battery Controller Transient 13.8V power supply. Reboot the system to clear the fault. Faulty BCT Control Board BCT control board needs replacing. Replace BCT Control Board (See Document 513175) Faulty BCT Power Board BCT Power Board needs replacing.
