Convert this to two- byte hex: 0007h. This is the register value transmitted. Similarly, when reading a Write register, such as 48507, the Register number returned would be 213Ah, which is (48507-40001 = 8506 = 213Ah) All data from the ModBus registers is returned in either word (16-bits) or long word (32-bits) integer format. A long word integer format containing 2 words will always be transmitted high word first (lower address). Integer data requires either translation or conversion to engineering units. Translations are described as an integer value representing some state or level. Integers may be converted to their corresponding floating-point representation with the units conversions provided.
