Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 Application Guide: Dual Mode Controller (DMC) Dispatch (Operating) Modes The DMC is equipped with three selectable dispatch (or operating) modes, including: (1) AUTO Dispatch, (2) GRID Dispatch, and (3) TURBINE Dispatch. Specific details are presented as follows: AUTO Dispatch Mode The MicroTurbine(s) are dispatched automatically in Grid Connect mode when the utility lines are energized, and in Stand Alone mode during a utility outage. GRID Dispatch Mode The MicroTurbine(s) may be dispatched in Grid Connect mode only. During a utility outage the MicroTurbine(s) will shutdown, and the Protected Loads will not receive power. TURBINE Dispatch Mode The MicroTurbine(s) may be dispatched in Stand Alone mode only. The MicroTurbine(s) and Protected Loads are electrically isolated from the utility. Software Versions In order to operate with a Dual Mode Controller, Model 330 MicroTurbine(s) must be equipped with either Version 3.XX or 4.XX software.
