Read and become familiar with the General Safety Precautions and Instructions contained within the Installation and Start-up Manual. Beforeservicing,alwayschecktoensurethatyour MicroTurbine is de-energized from the utility Waitatleast15minutesafterdisconnectionfromtheutility before servicing to allow for electrical energy dissipation Neverworkonenergizedequipment Ifinstalled,opentheStandAlonebatterycircuitbreaker Read and adhere to the instructions contained within this document completely, prior to installing or operating the DMC, or installing or operating MicroTurbines connected to the DMC. Use care when handling both fuel and electronic components to prevent damage to equipment and to preclude injury to personnel. Only Capstone Authorized Service Providers (ASP’s) should open the MicroTurbine enclosure or the DMC enclosure. Be aware that the systems can include multiple sources of power. Before servicing: Command the MicroTurbine system to OFF Open and lock the dedicated disconnect switch to isolate the MicroTurbine from the utility grid or loads If installed, set Stand Alone battery circuit breaker to OFF Wait at least fifteen minutes for electrical power to dissipate Verify that no voltage is present on any electrical terminals Open the enclosure to gain access to the components 513000-001 (Oct 2001) Page 4 of 32 DMC Application Guide.
