PROCEDURES AQUATEC GROUP OF COMPANIES Capstone MicroTurbine - C65 Internal Gas Train Test Procedure SPP0001 1. Check Calibration of Woodward Pressure Gauge Method A With the turbine operational, monitor the pressure with CRMS – Record # 43 Fuel Valve Ex P (kPa) checking against the gauge on the gas regulator or a test gauge connected to an EXTERNAL gas test point. Log results for future reference. Method B With the Turbine in STAND BY and any remote start disabled. 1. Take a screen shot of ALL the turbine settings – this will be used to check that no inadvertent changes have been made. Store screen shot in a “before” tab in Excel. 2. Remove the IEC connector on the BLOCK Valve. 3. Use CRMS to energise the VENT valve by changing the USER connection bay settings, active CLOSE to active OPEN for the relay controlling the BLOCK & VENT valves. This will close the VENT VALVE. 4. Connect an air supply from the compressor to the gas test point after the BLOCK valve. 5. Note the setting of the air pressure regulator as it will have to be reset to this value after testing. VERY IMPORTANT. 6. Use CRMS to operate the two ASCO shut off valves in the open loop command box. Refer to 410015 Page 18-2. 7. Monitor the pressure with CRMS – Record # 43 Fuel Valve Ex P (kPa) checking against the gauge on the air regulator or a test gauge connected to an EXTERNAL gas test point. 8. Adjust the air pressure regulator to various set points so that a range of results can be obtained. 9. Log results for future reference. 10. De-energise the ASCO valves and replace IEC connector. 11. Return the user bay settings to the original set up. 12. Disconnect air supply from gas test point. 13. Return air regulator to the original set point as noted in Step 5. 14. Take a screen shot of ALL the turbine settings. Check these against the settings taken in Step 1. ENSURE that no inadvertent changes have been made. Store screen shot in an “after” tab in Excel. 15. Test the system for proper operation as detailed in the C65 MicroTurbine User’s Manual (400017). Aquatec-Maxcon Pty.
