C. Check Load Control Module (LCM) 1. 2. 3. 4. T1 T2 T3 Remove all input power to system. Turn Off the battery circuit breaker. Remove the battery connector. Set the Digital Multimeter to measure ohms and proceed as follows: Three-Phase Contactor - Refer to the following figure as required. 5. DC Bus - Refer to the following figure as required. Bus- Bus+/BRK+ DC Bus a. Set the Digital Multimeter to measure diodes and check as follows: i. Set Meter+ to DC bus–, and Meter- to DC bus+. It should read like a diode (>0.3 Volt). ii. Set Meter+ to DC bus+, and Meter- to DC bus-. It should read higher than 3 Volts and then like an open circuit. b. Set the Digital Multimeter to measure resistance and check as follows: i. Measure resistance from DC bus+ to Chassis. It should read in Mega ohms. ii. Measure resistance from DC bus- to Chassis. It should read in Mega ohms. a. Measure resistance from L1 to T1, L2 to T2, and L3 to T3. Each should read about 15 ohms. If it is shorted, replace the contactor. If it reads more than 15 ohms, check input resistances as follows: L1 to Chassis L2 to Chassis L3 to Chassis T1 to Chassis, T2 to Chassis T3 to Chassis If you find any shorts, disconnect one of the sides (T or L) and repeat the above test to find where the short comes from. b.
