11006 Internal Warning MNT MSG INT Maintenance Message Interrupt System Severity Level 1 This fault is declared if the Start of Header (SOH) character is out of sequence in the communication packet. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution RS-232 message interrupted by Start of Header (SOH) character before End of Message (EOM) character received. Poor connection Loose RS-232 cables can cause characters to be dropped during transmission. Ensure RS-232 cables are connected tightly and not damaged. Poor line quality Modem telephone line connection can be very unreliable. Hang Up and Dial Back. Incorrect wiring Wiring on Capstone unit's RS-232 connectors is according to the specification for DTE. Use a null modem cable when wiring from a computer. Correct wiring problem Transmitted data does not match protocol If the user programs communica- tion software, verify that characters are transmitted as specified by protocol. Update messages to match protocol defined in Capstone's Open Communication Protocol Specification. Maintenance cable connection Cable carrying messages between UCB and ECM Control Board could be loose or damaged. Dry and Secure Maintenance Cable at UCB and J12 of ECM Control Board. Replace if damaged. UCB Board UCB board could be damaged causing signals to not make it from the Maintenance Port connection to the Maintenance Cable. Replace UCB Board ECM Control Board ECM Control Board can have damaged circuitry that causes it to not receive correct message data. Attempt an ECM Control Board PM upload. Replace ECM Control Board.
