Refer to this document for understanding the terms used in the technology, features and any documentation associated with the Capstone MicroTurbine systems. For ease of access, the software-related terms are grouped under FAULT CODE ABBREVIATIONS. 10Base-2 (10B2) – An Ethernet standard that uses a thin coaxial cable with BNC T-connectors and a maximum data rate of 10 megabits/second. Also called Thin Ethernet, ThinWire Ethernet, and ThinNet. 10Base-T (10BT) – An Ethernet standard that uses a twisted-pair cable, RJ-45 connectors, and a. maximum data rate of 10 megabits/second. 100Base-T (100BT) – A high-speed twisted pair Ethernet (also called Fast Ethernet) that uses RJ-45 connectors and a maximum data rate of 100 megabits/second. AC – Alternating Current. ACFM – Actual cubic feet per minute flow at operating temperature and pressure. ACM – Ambient Climate Module on Model C60 MicroTurbine. It contains ambient pressure reading and passes ambient temperature reading from TCIN sensor to ECM. ADC – Analog-to-Digital-Converter. A/D CONVERTER – See ADC. AFR – Air Fuel Ratio. The ratio, on a mass basis, of air to fuel in the gas mixture that is burned in the combustor. This ratio will vary according to operating requirements such as load demand. AGA – American Gas Association. AIR INTAKE ASSEMBLY – Assembly that directs engine intake airflow into the MicroTurbine. May contain sound attenuating material to reduce high frequency noise signature; a filter is housed in the assembly to provide filtered air to the MicroTurbine generator. ALC – Auxiliary Load Controller. AMPERE (AMP) – The unit of measurement of the current produced in a circuit by one (1) volt acting through a resistance of one (1) ohm. The measure of the rate of flow of electrons past a given point in an electric conductor.
