NIST – National Institute of Standards. Nm3 - Normal cubic meters = cubic meters at 1 atmosphere, 0°C NMHC – Non-Methane Hydrocarbons. NO – Nitric Oxide. NO2 – Nitrogen Dioxide. NOx – Oxides of Nitrogen. The sum of NO and NO2. Null Modem (or modem eliminator). A device for connecting two DTE devices (e.g., computers) together without a modem. O2 – Oxygen. O3 – Ozone. OEM – Original Equipment Manufacturer. OHM – The unit of resistance (and of impedance) in the International System of Units (IS). The ohm is the resistance of a conductor such that a constant current of one (1) ampere in it produces a voltage of one (1) volt between its ends. OPEN PACKAGE – A MicroTurbine generator system mounted on a cart and configured to operate without an enclosure assembly. OVERHAUL MANUAL - A manual containing the standards, processes and procedures to remanufacture or overhaul the MicroTurbine or its components. PACKAGE – The sum total of the cart and enclosure assembly. Pamb SENSOR – A sensor that measures the ambient pressure that the system is operating in and supplies this data to the controller. Pdiff – Differential pressure between outside ambient air and turbine inlet air. May be used to determine if air filter is clogged and requires servicing. PART – A detail part designed by Capstone Turbine Corp. Drawings of the detail parts are assigned a six (6) digit core number and a three (3) digit detail dash number (i.e., 50XXXX-001, -002, etc.). PATENT – A property right granted by the U.S. government to an inventor (or the inventor’s assignee) to exclude others from making, using, or selling an invention. The term is for twenty (20) years, (seventeen (17) years prior to 6/8/95).
