System Maintenance Screen Local Operation The following paragraphs provide examples of how the user can manually interact with the UPS Controller under several typical scenarios. The functions of each button are also described below. Normal System Start The Hybrid UPS system can be started from the UPS Controller as follows: 1. If the display panel is dark, touch the screen at any location to re-illuminate it. If the screen does not illuminate, control power may not be available. In this case, a "Black Start" is required, as will be described in the System Black Start section below. 2. Once the display panel is illuminated, the top level Main screen will be shown as in Figure 4. The current commanded system mode will be displayed at the top left corner of this screen, indicating Standby, UPS Normal, or High Efficiency. 3. If the system is not in UPS Mode, press the Maintenance screen button. This screen is password protected. Contact your ASP for your password. The Maintenance screen shown in Figure 6 will appear. 4. Press the Remote button to start the system. A confirmation screen will be displayed to avoid accidentally starting or stopping the system. 5. After pressing the Confirm Remote button, the Mode response indication will change to what the commanded mode is from the BMS.
