Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA Service Manual – Model C60 MicroTurbine Service Manual Overview This Service Manual presents information necessary to service the Capstone Model C60 MicroTurbine throughout its normal operational life. The Service Manual is intended to provide Capstone Authorized Service Providers (ASP’s) with the knowledge and tools necessary to troubleshoot and repair the MicroTurbine quickly. This manual addresses the following service categories: Safety Instructions Component Descriptions Work Instructions Forms Glossary of Terms and Acronyms Drawings Troubleshooting Guide –Published as a separate document (430012-100) The Troubleshooting Guide may be used to identify probable causes and analyze them to determine possible repair solutions. The Component Descriptions and Drawings sections of the Service Manual provide comprehensive component information that can be used to help isolate probable causes and determine if a component has failed. For example, a 3006 TCIN OP incident may result in a repair solution of replacing the thermistor, the ACM, the engine harness, or the ECM control board. The Component Descriptions section covering the Compressor Inlet Thermistor provides information to check the sensor, and the Drawings section includes harness details. This information should be sufficient for an ASP to troubleshoot down to the field replaceable unit (FRU) level. Refer to the next page for a list of FRU’s. Related Information Information pertaining to proper installation, initial commissioning and establishing set up parameters of the MicroTurbine is found in the Capstone Technical Reference documentation. Information pertaining to the system operation by owners/users is found in the MicroTurbine User’s Manual (400000).
