Capstone Turbine Corporation 21211 Nordhoff Street Chatsworth CA 91311 USA Technical Reference: C200 Hazardous Location Fire Suppression System 6.2. Sequence of Operation – Manual Activation at Microturbine If the manual release lever is activated at the main release tank, the CO2 discharge sequence outlined in Step 2 of Section 6.1 is initiated. In addition the following actions occur: 1. The activation of the pressure activated switch will notify the FSS Controller of the CO2 discharge. 2. The FSS Controller detects that the CO2 pressure activated switch has been actuated. This results in the following actions: a. The FSS Controller activates the two horn/strobes assemblies. b. The FSS Controller will actuate relays to notify the microturbine Hazloc Controller of the alarm status. 6.3. Sequence of Operation – Notes 1. Activation of the manual pull station at the FSS Controller will trigger the FSS Controller. This initiates the sequence of operation for an Alarm Condition as outlined in step 6.1. 2. The FSS is equipped with a manual lockout valve. The manual lockout valve must be in the OPEN position during normal operation. The manual lockout valve must be in the CLOSED position when maintenance personnel are working inside the microturbine enclosure. 3. The FSS is equipped with an odorizer. If the smell of the odorizer is present, initiate all appropriate safety protocols. WARNING: Verify that the CO2 louver must be reset inside the microturbine enclosure to allow CO2 gas to ventilate out. Failure to reset CO2 louver could lead to CO2 gas being present in the microturbine enclosure. 410089 Rev A (February 2013) Page 21 of 54 Capstone reserves the right to change or modify, without notice, the design, specifications, and/or contents of this document without incurring any obligation either with respect to equipment previously sold or in the process of construction.PDF Image | Technical Reference C200 Hazloc Fire Suppression System
