Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA Application Guide: C200 Hazardous Location Turbine Assembly • Gas Det 2 Alarm: o Green – Normal: Combustible gas levels are safe for operation. Gas detector #2 is sensing that combustible gas levels in the enclosure are below the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) setpoint. o Red – Fault Incident: Gas detector #2 is sensing that combustible gas levels in the enclosure are above the fault LEL setpoint and has issued a fault signal to the turbine. The turbine assembly will shut down or fail to start. Do not attempt to operate the turbine until the cause of the high gas level is fixed. • Gas Det 2 Failure: o Green–Normal:Gasdetector#2isoperatingnormally. o Red–FaultIncident:Gasdetector#2hasfailed. • Heat Alarm: o Green – Normal: The temperature in the enclosure is safe for operation. The temperature is below the setpoint that would close the contacts on the heat detectors. o Red – Fault Incident: The temperature in the enclosure is higher than the setpoint and has closed the contacts on one or more heat detector, which issued a fault signal to the turbine. The turbine assembly will shut down or fail to start. Do not attempt to operate the turbine until the cause of the high temperature is fixed. • Power Availability to Blowers: o Green – Normal: The power availability relay connected to the external power source indicates that power is available for the blowers. o Red – Fault Incident: The power availability relay has alerted the hazardous location controller that external power is not available to the blowers. The controller in turn issued a fault signal to the turbine. The turbine assembly will shut down or fail to start. Do not attempt to operate the turbine until power is restored to the blowers. • Encl. Press: This text box displays output from the enclosure pressure transmitter. Use this indicator to monitor pressure levels in the enclosure. • Incident Code Display: This text box displays the C200 turbine incident codes and descriptions. The incident code is a number up to five digits in length that, along with the fault code description, helps the Capstone Authorized Service Provider determine the cause of the incident. Refer to the Model C200 User’s Manual for more details about incident codes and descriptions. 480047 Rev.
