Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA Application Guide: C200 Hazardous Location Turbine Assembly 5. The C200 turbine performs the normal startup sequence and goes into load state for Stand Alone operation. Refer to the C200 Technical Reference (410066) and C200 User Manual (400008) for details about turbine startup and operational states. 6. Once the turbine reaches load state, the controller sends a command to close the external load contactor (K01). 7. In the event of loss of pressurization, gas or heat detection, or a user-initiated emergency stop, the following occurs: a. The controller commands the battery contactors, fuel relay (K1) and external load contactors open, which transitions the turbine to perform a warmdown procedure. b. Certain circuits within the enclosure remain energized for a period of up to one minute to safely shut down the equipment. c. After the engine shaft comes to a complete stop, the turbine de-energizes and sends a signal to the controller that the turbine is de-energized. d. The controller de-energizes the blower external contactors to turn off the pressurization blowers. 8. In the event of a turbine fault or user stop command, the following occurs: a. The turbine performs a shutdown according to the System Severity Level (SSL) of the fault. b. Once the turbine reaches load state, the controller sends a command to close the external load contactor (K01). c. The turbine goes to sleep (turbine de-energized), and the controller de-energizes the battery contactors and fuel relay (K1). d. The controller de-energizes the blower external contactors to turn off the pressurization blowers. 480047 Rev.
