Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA Application Guide: C200 Hazardous Location Turbine Assembly Control and Monitoring The C200 hazardous location turbine assembly does not have a display panel or keypad. All monitoring and control of the turbine and hazardous location components are done by the hazardous location controller. A differential pressure gauge and three colored indicator lamps mounted on the enclosure provide internal pressure indication and system status. However, the hazardous location controller is the main customer interface. Pressure Gauge The pressure gauge is flush-mounted on the left engine access door of the hazardous location enclosure, where the dial is visible externally. See Figure 12. It is installed near the status indicator lamps and comprises part of the status indication for the hazardous location system. The high pressure input of the gauge senses enclosure pressure, and the low pressure input is referencing pressure through a flame arrestor. The exterior dial on the pressure gauge indicates enclosure pressure. Refer to Table 1 and the pressure gauge vendor specifications on page A-8 for more details. Status Indicator Lamps Figure 12 shows the status indicator lamps, which are installed next to the pressure gauge on the left engine access door of the hazardous location enclosure. Each indicator lamp is a cluster LED type lamp and includes a sun shield. During operation, the indicator lamps are turned on and off based on turbine status. Refer to Operation, starting on page 46, for a description of how to use the indicator lamps to monitor the status of the turbine. 480047 Rev.
