A wide range of values of the potential methane generation capacity (L0) seems to be a drawback of the method as well as lack of information on the structure and characteristic of a municipal solid waste landfill. Wrongly assumed values may increase or decrease the final results. IGNIG Model [4] In the IGNIG model the kinetic method used in the US EPA model has been greatly expanded. It is based on the first order kinetic model and considers 4 categories of solid wastes. Each category of organic wastes has its own half-life time t1/2, designated to it.
