Manufacturing Education Shanghai Aerospace Energy Shanghai, China This latest China installation is at Shanghai Aerospace Energy in Shanghai, Peoples Republic of China. It is a combined heat and power (CHP) installation using a C30 microturbine driving an absorption chiller. At Shanghai’s Jiao Tong University, one of China’s top technical institutes, two Capstone MicroTurbines® currently supplement power to the university. The near zero-emission exhaust of the systems directly drives an absorption chiller that creates cold air conditioning from heat energy instead of electric energy. Working with our distributor in China, we expect China will become one of our leading customers in the years ahead. In November 2005, Capstone Turbine joined Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on his trade mission to China.
