DMSC to C30 Microturbine Connections The C30 microturbine does not have fast transfer capability. If a C30 microturbine is connected to a DMSC for dual mode operation, its protected loads upon a utility outage will be without power for approximately 2 to 5 minutes (depending on battery state of charge). When power is restored, the protected loads will be re-connected to the utility within 5 seconds. However, the microturbine will be down (or offline) for up to 45 minutes. NOTE Refer to Figure 15 for the DMSC to microturbine connections. Refer to Table 5 for a description of the control signals. The connections shown are the same for a single microturbine as they are for a master microturbine in a MultiPac. The DMSC requires a 24 VDC input from the microturbine. However, the UCB output from a C30 microturbine is 12 VDC. Therefore, in order to connect the DMSC to a C30 microturbine, a DC/DC converter must be installed between the C30 UCB and the DMSC.
