Warnings and Cautions alert you to situations and procedures that can be dangerous to people and/or cause equipment damage. Notes provide additional information relating to a specific operation or task. These symbols are as follows: WARNING A Warning means that personal injury or death is possible. CAUTION A Caution means that damage to the equipment is possible. NOTE A Note is used to clarify instructions or highlight information that might be overlooked. Safety Precautions WARNING Do not work on MicroTurbines, the Gas Pack or related equipment if gas odor is detected. Read and understand the Safety Information section of the Capstone MicroTurbineTM User’s Manual (400001 for C60 or 400017 for C65) before working on the Capstone MicroTurbines, the Gas Pack and related equipment. Failure to obey all safety precautions and general instructions may cause personal injury and/or damage to the equipment. Introduction This document presents technical information for the Capstone Gas Pack fuel gas booster, also referred to as the Gas Pack. The Gas Pack is a variable-speed drive device that serves to boost the inlet supply pressure of pipeline quality natural gas. The Gas Pack compresses fuel gas from a low pressure source and delivers pressurized fuel gas to the fuel inlet of the Capstone Model C60/C65 MicroTurbine, also referred to as C60/C65, MicroTurbine, or MT. The Gas Pack is mounted to the back of the C60/C65 enclosure, though it is not a part of the MicroTurbine itself. The Gas Pack performs its intended functions through electrical power, start/stop, and general fault communication connections. 410058 Rev A (September 2007) Page 5 of 12 Capstone reserves the right to change or modify, without notice, the design, specifications, and/or contents of this document without incurring any obligation either with respect to equipment previously sold or in the process of construction. NOTE The Gas Pack systems are designed for use with Capstone MicroTurbines that use a Woodward fuel valve. Model C60 MicroTurbines with an SPV must be upgraded to a Woodward fuel valve before installing a Gas Pack.PDF Image | CAPSTONE GAS PACK TECHNICAL REFERENCE
