Placing Thermocouples through Sealing Tape, In additional to providing an airtight seal between bagging films and mould tools, Airtech vacuum sealant tapes also provide an efficient and reliable means of inserting thermocouples inside the vacuum bag for accurate temperature measurement during the curing process. Airtech AutocouplesTM are co-extruded wires and jacket for vacuum integrity. Thermocouple wires with separate outer jackets may need to have this jacket removed before being placed across the vacuum sealant tape to avoid vacuum leakage from the back.
