The Best-case performance indicates the maximum throughput and minimum cycle time for a given level of WIP for any system having parameters rb and To. The worst case performance indicates the maximum cycle time and the minimum throughput possible for a line with bottlenecks rate rb and raw process time To. (Hopp et al 2001). Figure 2.
