Section VI. European Woods– Conventional and Elevated Temperatures Schedules in this section are primarily from the British publication Timber Drying Manual. These schedules are considered conservative. They are intended for use in steam-heated kilns operated between 95 and 200 °F (35 and 93 °C), with air speeds through the lumber from 200 to 400 feet per minute (1 to 2 m/sec). Changes in instrument settings are generally made on the basis of moisture content of the wood, and the use of sample boards is highly recommended (see app. B). Schedules are listed for 4/4 to 6/4 stock by the British sources, and, where available, by two thickness groups, 4/4 to 6/4 and 8/4 using the U.S. schedule format. Assembled British standard kiln-drying schedules are printed in appendix E. 35PDF Image | Dry Kiln Schedules for Commercial Woods Temperate and Tropical
