Allow enough slack in the hose line to provide for changes in length when pressure is applied. The hose will change in length from + 2% to – 4%. Metal end fittings cannot be con sidered as part of the flexible por tion of the assembly. The use of elbows and adapters will ensure easier installation and in many installations will remove the strain from the hose line and greatly increase service life.
