November 2002 Capstone Technical Support Replacing Fuel Filter Strainer Cap O-Ring Capstone MicroTurbines NOTE This Service Bulletin does not apply to MicroTurbines used for sour gas application. Safety Precautions Only Capstone Authorized Serviced Providers (ASP’s) should open the MicroTurbine and other equipment connected to the MicroTurbine. The systems can include multiple sources of power. The fuel used by the MicroTurbine is flammable and explosive. Keep flames, cigarettes, sparks, and electrical arc-producing equipment away from the Microurbine. Observe and adhere to the Safety Instructions contained within the MicroTurbine documentation. Summary On the Model C30 and C60 MicroTurbine systems listed in the following table, the O-ring in the Fuel Filter Strainer Cap Assembly may deteriorate over time and may cause fuel leaks. To eliminate fuel leaks, the O-ring should be replaced with a newer O-ring 514806.
