Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 Service Bulletin: Kerosene Filtration Requirement – Model 330 MicroTurbine Installing Liquid Fuel Filter Option Kit The following figure presents the Capstone Liquid Fuel Filter Option Kit (512457-XXX) for use with kerosene fuel. The Kit is comprised of a Filter Assembly (512460-001), frame, and hardware. The replacement element is a two-micron filter (512460-002). Capstone recommends that only Authorized Service Providers (ASP’s) perform the installation and maintenance items detailed in this document. Install the filter kit as follows: 1. Check to verify that the MicroTurbine has been removed from service. 2. Turn off all input power and disconnect all incoming fuel sources. Be sure to follow all safety precautions. 3. Place the filter kit at a convenient location near the fuel inlet of the MicroTurbine. 4. Install the filter kit in the vertical orientation as shown in the following figure. The filter inlet side is identified by the brass ball valve (1/4-inch NPT). The filter outlet (MicroTurbine side) is identified by the stainless steel fitting (1/4-inch NPT). 5. Use approved fuel pipes and fittings to connect the filter kit to the inlet fuel lines as well as to the MicroTurbine. Be sure to follow all applicable fuel codes and regulations. 6. Visually check to ensure that the filter housing and the filter element are tightly secured in place per the instructions on the filter housing. 7.
