Summary On the Copeland Horizontal FGBs with oil filter kit installed, it is possible that one or both oil filter flare tube fittings may leak. Capstone performed pressure testing prior to shipment, however a limited number of leakages has been reported in the field. This service notice is issued to inform Capstone business partners of the availability of a field retrofit kit to correct this potential leakage. This retrofit kit provides new tubes and associated hardware, including reducer fittings to improve the seal between the oil filter and the oil filter’s two flare tubes (one tube from heat exchanger to oil filter; one tube from oil filter to pressure switch). Customers who wish to order this retrofit kit may contact Capstone and order part number 610215-100. The kit includes work instructions for installation. Responsibility It is Capstone's responsibility to provide this Service Notice containing description of the problem and a recommended solution to Capstone's Authorized Service Providers. It is the Authorized Service Provider's responsibility to notify the customer.
