Capstone Turbine Corporation Quality and Customer Service Group technical reference documentation and web based training lessons available when a new product releases, allowing you formal training on our new products BEFORE you begin working on your first system. In addition to consistent training of all of our service providers, this program will provide us information on which certified personnel are remaining active with the service of Capstone MicroTurbines. We have updated our Quality Tracking Management System (QTMS) with an ASP Database that is used to identify you as an active ASP when you submit Commissioning Checklists, Field Service Reports, or call the Technical Support line. Your recertification will be triggered by this database, and course results will update your status upon completion of the on-line program. In addition, we are looking at providing Capstone badges and at least annual CD updates of our documentation to all active ASPs. Be looking for your recertification reminder over the upcoming 6 months. We think you will all find benefits from the program and look forward to your feedback. Training News As you have hopefully heard, either through meetings with our ASP Managers or in your ASP Training class, we are instituting a web-based recertification training program for all of our certification levels. In the past, once you were certified at Capstone, your certification remained in effect as long as you were working for the same business partner company. For many of you, that means you were trained when Capstone offered a Model C30 Grid Connect only system and have never had formal training on our Dual Mode, MultiPac or Model C60 systems. As part of our effort to improve reliability and customer satisfaction, we are looking at recertification to level the abilities of our service network to help reach a consistent 48-hour Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) or better for all of our customers. Web-based training provides a new level of training at minimal cost to you. The Learning Management System (LMS) will notify you in the month prior to your certification date that it is time for your renewal. You will then be able to access the program from your home or work PC from anywhere at anytime to complete the lessons. The lessons can be completed in one sitting, or in several if that better fits your schedule. Many of you have asked your boss for more Capstone training, but they won’t pay for you to come back to California for what is by name the same course you have already attended. The web-based training will allow you to get this updated training for a minimal course fee, $225 USD, and no travel expenses. In addition, the lessons will be available for access anytime during the year as a resource. The LMS will be accessible from the Member’s Only section of our website. For this year’s training program, the web based course reviews much of the material covered in the in-house course today to bring everyone up to our current level of training on all products. Lessons cover Grid Connect and Stand Alone operation providing an understanding of which solenoids are commanded on and off in each system state; General, Fuel and Electrical installation; Engine and Fuel systems components and operational overviews with emphasis on the new Enhanced Liquid Fuel system and Troubleshooting, Commissioning and Field Service Reporting. Hopefully all of you will benefit from the information that is provided. Materials will be updated with product changes. Refer to the Installation Guidelines Tech Ref (410034) for service clearance details.
