Capstone Turbine Corporation 21211 Nordhoff Street Chatsworth CA 91311 Service Bulletin SB0107: C200 v1.20 Software Release 6035 Internal Fault PROPANE PRMSV TO Propane Permissive Timeout Fault System Severity Level 5 Heat Trace Controller (HTC) (C200 PLC or C1000 Controller) reports that heat trace temperature is out of range after being in WAIT mode awaiting Permissive state for 10 minutes without receiving a Permissive OK. This fault is reported by the C200 PLC or C1000 Controller. The fault is inserted if heat trace temperature feedback is below 37.8°C or above 80°C. Turbine does not receive a Permissive OK to proceed with start sequence. Fault will not allow an auto-restart. 6043 Internal Fault PROPANE TEMP LO Propane Temperature Out of Range Fault System Severity Level 3 Heat Trace Controller (HTC) (C200 PLC or C1000 Controller) reports that heat trace temperature was out of range when system ran in LOAD state and the Permissive OK has been lost (not enabled for 10 seconds). This fault is reported by the C200 PLC or C1000 Controller. The fault is inserted if heat trace temperature feedback is below 37.8°C or above 80°C. The fault is interpreted as though the fuel temperature is low and flags the system with a fuel fault. The system is allowed to auto-restart if configured as such. NOTE: The following table applies to fault codes 6035 and 6043. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution System could not start due to Propane Permissive Timeout fault. Heat trace temperature is outside of limits. Ambient temperature is too cold Although system tried to heat fuel, temperature did not reach 37.8°C within 10 minutes to allow a start and operate MT Clear fault and restart system to heat up fuel to minimum temperature limit.
