Sealing caps and desiccant packages must be removed prior to commissioning and engine startup. The desiccant packages are tagged and labeled for clear visual identification. Responsibility It is Capstone’s responsibility to: • Provide this Service Bulletin containing description of the issue and required action to Capstone's Authorized Service Providers. • Make specified parts available for purchase by Authorized Service Providers for the performance of required maintenance during long-term storage. • For systems under FPP, flat rate labor reimbursement for the new storage maintenance tasks is as follows: o Desiccantreplacement: C200systemorspareengine=1hourforunpacking/repackingand desiccant replacement C1000Seriessystem=3hoursforunpacking/repacking(requires2people, 1.5 hours per person), plus 0.25 hours per bay for desiccant replacement o Lockedrotorcheck=0.25hoursperengine o FPPreimbursementissubjecttoFPPplantypeandCapstone’sFPP Reimbursement Policy (460049). It is the Authorized Service Provider’s responsibility to: • Identify affected systems/spares in fleet. • Order required part(s) from Capstone. • Notify the customer, and perform the required action. • After completion of service task, submit completed Field Service Report to Capstone.
