2. Energize control panel and chiller with respective disconnects and/or breakers. • Observe that the “Ground Connected” light is illuminated on the control panel. • Observe that the “Power On” light is illuminated on the chiller panel. 3. Energize 120 VAC transformer with respective breaker. • Observe that the PLC’s and Display power up. 4. Pull out the “Master Stop” button and press the “Master Start” button. • Power On” light is illuminated on the control panel. 5. Go to the Data page of the display screen and observe that all temperature readings are the same, and are reasonably close to the ambient temperature. Check Rotation: 1. Check each compressor/fan/pump for proper phase rotation. • Before starting the skid, the rotation of each compressor, fan, and/or pump motor must be checked. • Two people will be required to perform this rotation check. The first person will jog the motor, using the Jog button on the settings page of the display screen. Refer to the Navigating the Display Screen section of this manual for more information. The second person will observe the direction of rotation of the fan on the back of the motor. • Refer to the rotation sticker on top of the motor fan cover for proper motor direction. If the motor is not rotating the correct direction, swap any 2 of the 3 phase wires on the motor side terminal blocks in the panel. • Re-check the rotation to be sure it is now correct. Repeat this process for each compressor, fan, or pump on the skid. 2. Check phase monitor inside Chiller panel. • • If phase monitor reads OK proceed. If not, swap any two phases of incoming power..
