Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA Application Guide: High Humidity MicroTurbine Package Provisions must be made to power the heaters after or when a unit is removed from its shipping crate but remains non-operational. In addition, it is extremely important to perform proper battery maintenance during storage or when the unit is not operating. WARNING Do not connect a charger to the batteries unless the area is known to be non-hazardous. The battery should be manually charged, either by using a Capstone manual charger or by performing a manual charge in Grid Connect mode. Failure to do so will prevent the system from starting at the time of commissioning and will make the battery unusable. Refer to the MicroTurbine Standard Maintenance Schedule (440000) for appropriate charging intervals based on ambient temperatures. Handling Use the same care and procedures for handling the High Humidity systems as for a standard Capstone MicroTurbine. Refer to the C30 and C60/C65 O&I Drawings for weights, dimensions, and proper lifting instructions. Installation Installation is the same as for the standard C30 and C60/C65 Capstone MicroTurbines, with the exception of the heater and battery control voltage connections described above. Refer to the standard C30 and C60/C65 O&I drawings for dimensions and minimum service clearances. Maintenance The heaters are designed to last the useful life of the MicroTurbine system, and should not require additional maintenance. The battery pack will require the same maintenance as for standard Capstone MicroTurbines. Refer to the MicroTurbine Standard Maintenance Schedule (440000).
