12010 Internal Fault BATT OVER TEMP Battery Overtemperature System Severity Level 5 Battery lifetime is reduced as the operating temperature increases. Above some temperature this effect becomes so significant that it is no longer worthwhile to operate the battery. Software declares a Battery Overtemperature fault when the measured battery temperature from Battery IGBT exceeds the Battery Overtemperature value, for any one sample period. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution The measured and filtered Battery temperature exceeds the Battery Overtemperature limit. Debris or water in package. Clean the BCM Controller. Clean the BCM Controller Check the cable connection between Battery Pack and Connector J4 of the BCM Control Board. Ensure proper connections Check connections to the BCM Control Board and BCM IGBT. Make sure connections are tight. The Battery Over- temperature limit is set wrongly Make sure that the BCM Battery PM is programmed properly, and it is supported by the installed BCM control software. Re-program: BCM PM Battery Pack PM Faulty BCM Control Board Circuitry on BCM Control Board has failed Attempt a BCM PM upload. Replace BCM Control Board. Faulty Battery Personality Module temperature sensor Battery Pack needs replacing. Attempt a Battery Pack PM upload. Replace Battery Pack.
