12015 Internal Fault BATT HTSNK OT Battery Heat Sink Overtemperature System Severity Level 5 The rated power output for the Battery Intelligent Power Module (IPM) reduces as the operating temperature increases. The software declares a Battery Heat Sink Overtemperature fault when the measured heat sink temperature exceeds the Heat Sink Overtemperature parameter value, for any sample period. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution The low-pass filtered Heat Sink Temperature exceeds the heat sink overtempera- ture setting. The Heat Sink over- temperature limit is commanded wrongly When using the RS-232 command of BCTHOT to reset the Heat Sink overtemperature limit, the value should be in °C. Use right value to set the Heat Sink over- temperature Limit. The default value of the Heat Sink over- temperature limit is set wrongly. Make sure that the BCT power board PM is programmed properly, and it is supported by the installed BCT control software. Re-program the BCT power board PM. Debris or water in package. Clean the BCT controller. Check the cables and connectors related to J1 and J3 of the BCT power board. Clean the BCT Controller Open/Loose Connection Check the cable connections related the cooling fans. Fix any loose or Faulty connection. The Cooling fan and/or vent fan is failed or the cooling airflow is blocked. Inspect the cooling fan of the heat sink and vent fan of the BCT controller, make sure that they are working properly. Check if the cooling airflow is blocked. Fix any problem relating to the cooling fans and cooling air low. Faulty BCT Control Board BCT control board needs replacing.
