9011 Internal Fault GDSP HANDOFF Generator DSP Failed to Hand Off System Severity Level 6 The software declares a fail to hand off fault when the rotor position feedback signal does not match the open loop speed position command, after reaching a predetermined RPM value. Recommended Spare Parts • PM • DPC • IPM Power supply • Engine Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution The Rotor Position Feedback Does Not Match the Open Loop Speed Position Command. The PM parameters used to define the generator start profile are set wrongly. Make sure that the right engine PM data is used and the engine PM is programmed properly. Re-program the engine PM. The engine PM is not supported by the generator DSP control software. Make sure that the right engine PM data is used and the engine PM is programmed properly. Re-program the engine PM or change the version of the control software. Contact Capstone Technical Support. Open/loose Connection (Flex Harness) Unplug the flex harness between J12 on DPC Control Board and J8 on DPC Power Board. Check for damages. Re-connect the flex harness and ensure the connections are tight. Replace the Harness Loose Connections (Screw Terminals) Check connections at E1, E2, E3 - phases C, B and A (between the DPC Power Board and the generator inductors). The torque on the screws should be 25 lb-in. Check the connections between the generator inductors and the power wires leading to the generator. The torque on the Inductors should be 35 lb-in. Open the generator box and check the generator power connections. Check the torque on terminals A, B, and C from the DPC, terminals A, B, and C from the generator, and the E-shaped metal connector for the generator Neutral - all should be at 20 lb-in.
