7003 Internal Fault MODE TRANSITION Mode Transition System Severity Level 4 This fault is declared in the Dual Mode and: 1. If in the Grid Connect operation, the required jumper/circuit on the UCB is not configured for Grid Connect operation. 2. If in the Stand Alone operation, the required jumper/circuit on the UCB is not configured for Stand Alone operation. Recommended Spare Parts • UCB • ECM Control Board Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution Reports a Dual Mode Transition occurring Grid has gone away In Dual Mode operation the interlocks are set by the Dual Mode Controller to indicate Grid Connect or Stand Alone operation. When grid voltage goes or comes, this fault enables the system to transition modes. System clears fault automati- cally when transition is complete. WARNING: Allow system to continue through Dual Mode transition. Interlocks not set correctly Wiring connection from the Dual Mode controller or external device makes a transition out of Grid Connect or Stand Alone and does not successfully enable the following state. Check wiring connections to Grid Connect (J12-3) and Stand Alone (J12-2) Interlocks on the UCB. Option Port Harness? Interlock signals are carried from the UCB back to the ECM through the Harness. Ensure that these connections are secure and wire is dry and not damaged. Secure or dry Harness at UCB and ECM. Replace if damaged. UCB failed If all connections are secure, circuitry on UCB must not be functioning correctly. Replace UCB ECM Control Board failed The ECM Control Board has circuitry that communicates with the UCB. Assume this has failed. Attempt an ECM Control Board PM upload. Replace ECM Control Board.
