6015 Internal Warning GEN PWR FOLDBK Generator Power Foldback System Severity Level 2 The software protects the generator power conversion components from overtemperature conditions. When the generator heat sink temperature exceeds a predetermined value, the software reduces the power output of the system and declares this fault. Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution ECM Heatsink Current Limit exceeded Ambient conditions too hot Heatsink dissipates enough heat to oper- ate in the ambient temperatures specified. Air cooling system provided may not be adequate for operating environment. Operate as specified. ECM Heatsink Fan failure Pull ECM cover and verify fan connector is plugged in correctly. Secure fan connector Fans are plugged in, but do not operate when system is commanded to start. Contact Capstone Technical Support Check cable connection between J1 on ECM Control Board and IGBT for loose connection. Tighten cable connection. Incorrect temperature limits in ECM Control Board PM. Attempt a PM upload. ECM Control Board faulty Heatsink temperature on CRMS indicates less than 110 °C (230 °F). Replace ECM Control Board. Consult Capstone Technical Support. Compressor Inlet Temperature read- ing is intermittent TCIN connection may be intermittent due to a loose connection. Tighten TCIN connection TCIN reading high TCIN returns a false high reading. Replace TCIN ACM Generator Current Limit Exceeded Generator Current Limiting In colder weather, the engine can produce more power at lower speeds. Higher power engines will reduce speed (stator voltage), driving the generator into an overcurrent situation. Contact Capstone Technical Support Generator connections may have come loose causing unexpectedly high current. Tighten Generator and ECM Connections Stator voltage is linear with speed. Full speed (96,000 rpm) stator voltage is less than 433 VAC (Line to Line). Attempt an Engine PM upload.
