Modbus Translator Installation Power Connection See Figure 1 and connect power to the Modbus translator as follows: 1. Make sure that the Modbus translator is mounted on a well-grounded mounting surface such as a metal panel. 2. Connect the Shielded Ground (SG) terminal (see Figure 1) to an appropriate grounded metal surface. 3. Connect the 12–48 Vdc positive line to the V+ terminal and the return line to the V- terminal on the terminal block.
