This air is used to cool the generator, provides air to the air bearings, and used for the combustion process. The air is compressed by the compressor impeller and passes through the recuperator where its temperature is elevated by the exhaust gases expelled from the turbine. This process increases the overall efficiency. The heated compressed air is mixed with fuel and burned in the combustion chamber. Patented techniques in the combustion process result in an extremely low emission exhaust stream. The combusted hot gases expand through the turbine, providing rotational power to drive compressor impeller and generator. See Figure 3 for a system air flow diagram. Figure 3.
